Each of her dresses is unique. You cant tell that Fukuko Ando dresses are haute couture or pret-a-porter. Its something special coloured using special technique with laces.

She says, “My creations are masses of energy. I fill them with good vibrations. This energy is invisible, like music. The melody envelops your body. These vibrations change the inner you. You can feel new sensations within. Your new energy then expands outside yourself. Now you can create your own universe. It’s your creation.” photo by Luigi Migani

Collection and Exhibition Pleiades: Fukuko Ando created a series of 140 dolls in summer 2005. They are twenty variations of seven sisters respectively named after the seven stars that form the Pleiades: Alcyone, Merope, Maya, Electra, Taygeta, Coele and Sterope. Fukuko Ando has endowed each doll with different codes and messages, based on her concept of ‘there are no two human bodies which are exactly the same’.
