Very imaginative Japanese tale.
The baby-faced teen Momoko Ryugasaki lives with her father in a country-side, the land of small farms and, as she thinks, small-minded people. She dreams of living in 18th century France, admires the Rococo style and wears lolitas dresses. To make some money for her interesting hobby, she sells Versace and Universal Studios clothes left over from her dad’s gangster days. That’s for highly stylized biker chick Ichiko comes to Momoko’s house – to buy some fake Versace. She is talking, cussing, and little bit aggressive girl. They become fast friends.
Kamikaze Girls is a strange entertaining movie that opens in spectacular fashion, time to time shows animations and tells us about friendship of two unlikely teens having two opposite fashion cults.

The film, like the book, is set in the glamorous world of high fashion. Young girl from a small town Andrea Sachs (Anne Hathaway) goes work for Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep), an all-powerful editor of Runway magazine. He starts work as Miranda’s assistant, bud suddenly finds herself as Miranda’s whipping girl. Andrea’s new boss is kind of ice queen who never says ‘please’ and ‘thank you’. Miranda’s humiliating requests could drive crazy. Andrea puts up with them only she is told she will get job at the New Yorker after one year. Seems Andrea could do this, but comes that moment when she must make a choice between her job and friends and family…
