SWATCH ALTERNATIVE FASHION WEEK is the event for new designers to be discovered. Hard on the heels of New York, Paris and Milan, London’s Swatch Alternative Fashion Week brings out the most original and creative collections.

AFW WAS: 20 – 24 MARCH 2006

TWELVE DIFFERENT designers was showed each day. Original and recycled textiles are a major feature and there was womenswear, menswear, headwear, footwear, workwear, leisurewear, underwear, fetishwear and fantasywear.

THE FASHION MARKET 12 noon to 3pm each day with stalls selling an exotic range of clothes, textiles and accessories.

THIS YEAR�S EVENT is hosted by the new Spitalfields Traders Market and supported by an Arts & Business Award.

Over one hundred designers from Australia and Asia Pacific showed their Spring Summer 2006/07 Collections on Mercedes Australian Fashion Week’s runways. Running over five days in Sydney, designers presented their collections in either an Individual, Ready to Wear Group or New Generation Group collection show.
