D&G Violent Advertising

The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA), Italian senators and some other public people acts against D&G last advertising photos and especially the one, where a bare-chested man pinning a woman to the ground as two other men look on it.
The company explaines that the ads were meant to invoke the Napoleonic period, with inspiration taken from the paintings of Delacroix and David.
We wonder how it is possible to allow such violent advertising images, says the opposition.
